Palmer's Ale House

Enjoy a slap up dinner and raise funds for those in crisis around the world.

Many people learnt of the World Central Kitchen and their extraordinary work last week when 7 of their volunteers were killed in an aerial drone strike by the IDF in Gaza. While this tragedy has put a spotlight on their work it has also highlighted the vital need for resources and financial support for humanitarian crisis around the world. Everyday thousands of people are displaced, without personal belonging, shelter or food, due to natural disasters and state conflicts. Without the support of organisation like World Central Kitchen, many of these people suffer from lack of food & clean drinking water – basic necessities that should be available to every person on earth.

At Palmers we have always been committed to food as a social and community experience and we wanted to find a way to make a contribution, however small, to support the work that World Central Kitchen do.

Things in the hospitality trade are very difficult at  the moment and its easy to get focussed on our own problems but there are many millions of people all over the world who are in real crisis and so we want to use the small platform that we have to raise some money to support World Central Kitchen and the thousands they work with.

We are using the World Central Kitchen Cookbook – a selection of recipes sourced from all the areas where WCK have worked over the years – to produce a three course dinner. Tickets are on sale for £40 per person and every penny will go to WCK.

Tickets can be purchased by calling the pub on 01406 365554
